Elect Bob Irwin - Assembly 16

Let me introduce myself.

I am Bob Irwin. The Republican Candidate for Nevada State Assembly in District 16. Born and raised in Los Angeles, I moved to Las Vegas in 1971 and have been a resident here for 39 years.

My son Chris went to public school here in Las Vegas from kindergarten through a Bachelor's Degree at UNLV. My two grandchildren currently attend public elementary and middle school here. During my nearly four decades here I have watched Southern Nevada grow from a couple of hundred thousand to almost two million residents.

I worked in gaming at the old Mint Hotel and the Union Plaza downtown before starting my own business, a local gunshop in 1982. Over the last 28 years my business has grown from one employee to forty-eight employees.

The Gun Store at 2900 East Tropicana is my retail store, indoor shooting range, and firearms training classroom.

I have a plan to build a strong Nevada. Our neighbors to the west are in trouble because of liberal tax and spend policies. We are sadly on that same path. We must turn things around now! We cannot just sit back and complain about the Federal government. As a state we need to flex our Constitutional muscle and solve these problems as Nevadan's.

Government at all levels has to spend less and create an environment where business can go forward and create jobs. We have a "Battle Born" spirit in the Silver State and to me that means we can work together to build a strong Nevada through fiscal responsibility and Constitutional values.

I've seen a lot of changes in Nevada over the years and would like to bring my business experience to the Nevada Assembly. We need to bring jobs, decent schools and financial stability back to Nevada.
